As a Construction Project Coordinator, for The HDD Company, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a progressive and fast-paced group of Engineering and Project Management professionals on horizontal directional drilling projects. Our work focuses on the construction of pipelines built for the transportation of energy (oil, gas, electricity), communications (telecom/fibreoptics), and other various applications (water, sewer, chemicals). We are leaders in the world of trenchless construction, and have been successfully completing projects for more than 25 years.
This position will be office based in Casa Grande, AZ with limited travel required to projects throughout North America. This position reports to the Project Manager, and Management team for The HDD Company. This role will be the main point of contact for ongoing work on field projects for reporting, scheduling, and planning to ensure all resource (materials, equipment, and people) are accounted for during the project. When not working on project sites, you will report to the office to support field and estimating activities as directed by the Management team.

Responsibilities & Duties
- Provide comprehensive support to the HDD Canada Project Manager while coordinating timely completion of early-stage planning deliverables and long lead items.
- Complete daily Construction Log entries and report on project performance
- Support procurement activities to include obtaining quotes, issuing, and tracking purchase orders, and reviewing receipt bill of ladings.
- Prepare payroll information weekly for the project. Ensure onboarding documents are maintained and in compliance with company policy.
- Assisting with the accounts payable and receivable process as directed.
- Assist in creating and maintaining project schedules.
- Collaborate and prepare regular project reports and updates, including daily reports, cost, schedule, progress, and KPIs.
- As directed by Project Manager or other management personnel, provide meeting facilitation support, record meeting minutes, or any other tasks required to support general coordination activities.
- Maintain close communication with the Project Manager, and Construction Managers to support active communication amongst the team and its stakeholders.
- Contribute in reviews and approvals of General Construction Contractor construction documents and execution plans, including obtaining acceptance from key stakeholders.
- Liaise with other stakeholders as required to ensure coordination, consistency and compatibility through construction.
- Maintain project governing documents (e.g. MS Project, Sitedocs, SharePoint, etc.) to ensure that all program documents remain current and accurate.
- Support the Director of HSE for all reporting and training requirements for the project.
- Assist in any other activities the Project requires as directed by the Project Manager or Management team.
Estimator Support
- Execution plans including bore methodology, schedules, and technical details
- Excavation shoring plans including design and dimensional review
- Schedule project closeout meetings
- Perform contract risk analysis
Operation Management Support
- Execution plans; including bore methodology, schedules, and technical details etc.
- Project Engineering function of the Ground Disturbance Safe Work Practice (SWP)
- Build, and update construction folders with all required documentation
- In collaboration with the Project Manager, assist with quality control deliverables for current and future projects
Project Management Support
- Provide engineering analysis on current projects i.e., AP trends, disposal volume analysis, mud usage analysis etc.
- Manage existing and create new AutoCAD drawings for jacking pit dimensions
- In collaboration with the Safety team, assist with implementation and maintenance of a new Vendor Management System
Additional Support
- Coordinate tool and parts support for field crews i.e., shipping and repairs for boring equipment and tools as required.
- Participate in project planning and operational meetings and discussion as required
- Provide any additional support when required during high volume periods
Required skills and qualifications
- Three or more years of experience in project coordination
- Experience in coordinating teams and clients
- Proven success in a corporate setting, working with all levels of management
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Experience with MS Project, SharePoint, SiteDocs, Procore, and Bluebeam
- A background in construction or the oilfield industry
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in relevant field
- Professional certification such as PMP (Project Management Professional)
- Previous experience in planning and project management/coordination

Working Conditions
- Comprehensive Benefit Package after 90 days of employment
- Work Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday in the office
