· Work Location (Hybrid/Onsite/Remote): Onsite at Huntsville, AL (TMMAL).

· Duration: 12 months with high chances of an extension.

· Travel: 50-75% of only domestic travel across United States.

· Overtime: 10hrs/week.

· 60 mins of STAR/video interview with the Hiring Manager.

Job Description:

Support new model/project activity:

· Planning for plant internal logistics layout and equipment needs.

· Go & see to gather current data (Benchmarking).

· Work to improve (Kaizen) current condition through working with local team to improve.

· Make logistics process layout and conveyance route for material receiving and delivery zones.

· Investigate material packaging dimension vs. layout, QTY required vs. Space Available.

· Support development of logistics process and standardized work documents for Internal logistics/conveyance.

· Perform virtual simulations to model layout and early planning scenarios.

New Technology implementation:

Work with vendors and NAMC to trail and install automated logistics equipment and managing all aspects of the project including:

· Managing and keeping project schedule.

· Tracking equipment lead-time

· Leading the install and commissioning of new equipment and making sure the process adheres to Toyota Safety Standards.

· Regular report out project status to management.

Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in industrial/mechanical engineering or equivalent work experience.

· ~5 years experience in manufacturing Internal Logistics (Conveyance) and Material Flow planning.
Proficient in AutoCAD 2012 or above and MS office (Excel, Access).

· Installation of automation projects – robotic programming, automated industrial vehicles, related technical experience, etc.

· Autodesk inventor and Flexsim simulation software a plus.

· Strong desire to work in a manufacturing hands on environment to gather data, perform process analysis and document and standardize process study.

· Should have good communication skills and should have considerable professional experience.

· Ability to travel 50-75%.

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $13.69 - $35.37 per hour
