**Remote and Hybrid Work Schedules Available**
You must live within the Meijer footprint. [Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Kentucky] Or, be willing to relocate to one of these states. (Relocation assistance available).
Remote Option: Work remote M–F, AND be available as needed and requested by Management to attend occasional meetings, planning events, etc. at Meijer corporate offices in (Grand Rapids) Walker, MI.
Hybrid Option: Work in office M-W, work remote Th-F
The Quality Engineering Lead works in partnership with other functions in Technology and the business. You will lead the embedded Quality Engineers for our store team member technologies and solutions teams. You will ensure the quality of our deliverable meets and exceeds the expectations of all stakeholders and evangelize the established quality standards and processes. This QE Lead will partner with the QE Governance team enabling best practices, test Automation, CI-CD, Performance testing, etc. to increase value and operations excellence.
What You’ll Be Doing (Responsibilities):
Lead a distributed team of Quality Engineers in the Store Team Member Product teams supporting its business applications and continuous delivery in SAFe Agile.
Provide technical guidance to all Quality Engineer resources on Project/Application Requirement Analysis, Test design, Test planning, Technical documentation, Test approaches across all phases of the delivery Discovery through Post-production within LOB.
Enable modernization in Test Engineering with Test Automation, CI-CD, monitoring.
Establish Metrics & measure to track and act on quality, speed and ROI.
Build reports and dashboards for communication to QE Governance with execution Metrics to drive optimization of people, practices and tools.
Assess Performance Risk/Impact analysis on projects/features and provide mitigation with appropriate escalations
Effectively collaborate and communicate with all-levels of technical & non-technical stakeholders.
Ensure adherence across teams to set practices, standards, techniques, be a champion to quality engineering as a key enabler to product delivery success & driver of business value.
Manage quality engineers across Meijer and vendor shared services for existing & future needs of the Store Team Member Product teams.
Review capabilities in existing test automation, test environment & test data, Performance testing, CI-CD periodically and improve continuously in alignment with QE governance team.
Mentor quality engineers and SDETs with technical leadership, skill development, career path and develop action plans to execute of initiatives that support it.
What You Bring With You (Qualifications):
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent work experience and technical training is required
Certifications in SAFe Agile, Azure Cloud technologies (or similar), DevOps transformation are preferred.
Must have 8+ years in IT Quality Engineering with experience in leading technical strategy and execution. Retail industry is preferred.
Comprehensive experience with an enterprise SAFe Agile processes, DevOps Transformation and Azure Cloud migrations.
Expertise in multiple test automation frameworks. (Azure DevOps, Robot Framework, NUnit, Selenium web driver, Postman, VSTS, Git, JMeter, Python, RestSharp, Xunit)
Well versed with Cloud technologies, Azure, microservices/SOA architecture, dockers, containers, multiple platform application and data integrations.
Excellent verbal & written communication skills with ability to deliver presentations.
Proficient skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, relentless improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
Experienced in staffing and leading quality engineers in a distributed model (onsite/offshore)
Proven ability to develop people technically to solve for technical challenges.
