Job Summary:
Kelly’s Client is a leader in quality home and cookware products, they are currently seeking qualified candidate for the position of Quality Assurance Administrator. As a Quality Assurance Administrator, you will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with our high-quality standards by writing specifications for new and existing products, coordinating testing and inspection processes, and providing support to our suppliers and customers. Responsibilities:
  • Develop, write, and maintain accurate product specifications for new and existing products to facilitate inspection by suppliers, the distribution center, and third-party agencies.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and product development teams to ensure accurate product, carton specifications, and literature, making recommendations for improvements.
  • Provide support and resolution for customer product complaints, working closely with the Returns and Customer Service departments. Take corrective actions with suppliers to prevent future quality issues.
  • Act as the primary contact for suppliers regarding product cartons, evaluating proposed cartons with the packaging team to ensure product protection. Coordinate carton translations and approve press proofs.
  • Serve as a liaison between suppliers, testing agencies, and internal/external personnel to coordinate research, testing, inspection, and compliance activities. Research new commodities to identify test requirements and government standards.
  • Develop and maintain reports to track the progress of product development, ensuring adherence to timelines. Work closely with suppliers and the New Product Development team.
  • Manage the in-house testing program, identifying candidates for testing, ensuring adherence to test procedures, and providing suitability reports for each tested item.
  • Evaluate pre-production samples, set product standards, and collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues.
  • Review and proofread catalogs, product literature, and collateral materials for accuracy, making recommendations for changes.
  • Maintain product information, including items, product literature, suppliers, and incoming inspection reports.
  • Maintain logs for incoming inspections, new product date codes, weights, cubes, and Box.com for third-party inspections.
  • Inform suppliers of incoming rejections and collaborate on corrective action plans.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in a quality/technical discipline or related field preferred.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal departments, external vendors, and suppliers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Word, and Excel. Strong knowledge of SharePoint.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions. Strong reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, publications, and information. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus but not required.
  • Must be able to use a computer regularly and lift cartons up to 50 lbs. Travel may be required.
