WD Lab Grown Diamonds has an immediate opening for a
Quality Assurance Manager in our state-of-the-art laboratory in Beltsville, MD. Founded in 2008, WD Lab Grown Diamonds is a pioneering technology company and global leader in high-quality laboratory created diamonds and solutions in Advanced Materials.
The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of quality assurance activities, developing testing and data collection methods and instructing the QA Team on execution of those methods.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 5-7 years relevant work experience required
- Graduate’s degree in related field preferred
- 5+ years of relevant experience in a remanufacturing environment
- 3-5 years of supervisory or management experience (preferably supervising/managing a quality system in a complex/matrix organization)
- Certification related to quality control (RAC, Six-Sigma, etc.) preferred
Specific Job Duties:
- Oversee the maintenance and continuous improvement of the overall quality system, including management review, internal quality audits, quality self-assessments, change control, document control, and standard operating procedures/work instructions
- Apply knowledge of material characterization to develop and implement new testing methods and better understanding of crystalline materials produced on site
- Ensure QA equipment is properly calibrated and maintained
- Train and oversee all QA staff, including material characterization and data collection
- Work with engineering and manufacturing to understand process related defects and develop solutions
- Review and identify trends within the quality assurance metrics for the organization
- Primary customer contact for QA related issues/initiatives as needed
- Develop, distribute, and maintain regular management reports. Compile executive level reports as required
