Job description
IMKO is currently looking for a Quality Control Technician for a client located in Columbia, MO.Shift is 7:00a-3:30p OR 4:00p-12:30a Pay is $15.50-17.50/hour
Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering, and customer specifications
- Demonstrate proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments
- Knowledge in SPC, including calculating charts from data, evaluation of results, and applying findings towards continuous process improvements
- Must be able to conduct test and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance
- Must be able to use mathematics to solve problems
- Must be able to understand written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents
- Must be able to communicate effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience
- Computer literate
- Perform quality inspections/ test requirements in adherence to customer specifications on on all components and assemblies
- Prepare weld penetration samples and tensile/compression samples and perform all related test.
- Perform quality checks on production line
- Perform audit checks and monthly checks
- Perform receiving inspection on component parts
- Reports non-conformance dispositions (NG inspection/audit findings) to QC group lead or SQC associate
- Reports abnormal product handling procedures (methods) to QC group lead
- Verification of "release and go" activities
- Performing destructive testing
- Assist quality and engineering on inspection projects
- Updates and maintains quality hold area
- Perform product sorts when required
- Change point that require lot(s) inspections
