Our Witzel Ave location is looking for a self-motivated individual to join our production team as a Shipping and Receiving individual. This team member will oversee various functions of the shipping and receiving department. Wald Wire will provide on the job training and also offers many different benefits.

Summary

• Oversee the preparation and shipment of goods in accordance with company procedure, customer requirements and shipping/receiving best practice
• Palletize and otherwise prepare product in accordance with standard procedure and/or customer requirements
• Weigh and/or count parts to ensure shipments are being made in accurate quantities
• Generate labels to reflect information such as customer, weight, shipping method, and/or other shipping information and affix labels to shipments
• Receive incoming shipments
• Use ride-on fork lift to unload materials from truck
• Sign for receipt of materials and complete any necessary paperwork required for receipt
• Record material received, weight and/or quantity and other pertinent information into inventory
• Examine shipment contents and compare with records such as manifests, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy
• Move material to proper location within warehouse, raw material storage or other department of Wald Wire
• Submit necessary paperwork to office for payment and recording
• Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock
• Operate Sage with proficiency to clock in and out of the site, log in and out of assigned jobs and input shipping and inventory data accurately
• Mark or tag material with proper job number, piece marks, and other identifying marks as required
• Other tasks as assigned by Wald Wire management

Qualifications

• Basic reading and writing skills required
• Intermediate math skills required
• Experience in manufacturing preferred
• Warehouse experience preferred

Employment Status: Full time employment

Pay rate: Potential to make up to $20 per hour.
