FTE Status: .9 with infusion call
Shift: Day
Department: Same-Day Surgery
DUTIES: Completes admission interviews and establishes nursing priorities with the patient’s plan of care. Receives, transcribes, and executes physician orders and communicates to others, as needed, for continuity of care. Initiates a patient education plan according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by the Physician and/or hospital policy including instruction to the patient, family, and others, as identified. Administers prescribed medications and treatments and patient-specific care to the patient in accordance with approved nursing techniques. Observes patient records significant conditions and reactions and notifies supervisor or Physician of patient’s condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents throughout the progression of care. Other duties may be assigned.
Education and/or Experience: Graduate of an approved Registered Nurse Program. Previous experience is desirable. Holds or is eligible for current licensure in the State of South Dakota. CPR required. ACLS required.
CMS requires that healthcare staff be Covid-19 vaccinated or Religious and Medical Exemptions will be required.
