Regular Ed. Paraeducator
Hoover Elementary School
187 days per year
7.5 hours per day
8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Starts at $14.61 per hour (may increase based on experience)

You must meet at least ONE (1) of the following to be qualified:
Completion of two years of study at an institution of higher education; OR
Possess an associates degree, OR
Complete a paraeducator certificate course, OR
Complete and pass the National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties must be performed on site. Other duties may be assigned.
Reports to work as scheduled on a regular and reliable basis.
Works at various locations across the district as assigned.
Must have transportation to travel from site to site.
Ability to work between the hours of 7:00 a.m. - 4:15 p.m., schedules may vary.
Assists willingly in potential Non-Violent Crisis Interventions utilizing the skills learned through CPI training in accordance within Iowa Department of Education Regulations: Chapter 103.
Assists willingly in the maintenance of student safety if student attempts elopement through skills learned through CPI training in accordance within Iowa Department of Education Regulations: Chapter 103.
Assists willingly in hygiene maintenance/toileting of students as needed.
Assists with group instructional reinforcement, support students at teachers direction, as needed.
Assists in individual or group data collection and progress monitoring.
