POSITION SUMMARY:
The Remarketing Accounts Payable and Title Representative position exists to review large volumes of Accounts Payable invoices and research loan files to determine the appropriate Conveyance action.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Researches special circumstances to determine what options are available and collaborates with appropriate parties to develop solutions.
- Reviews documents for newly assigned properties to determine if additional steps are needed to prepare the property to be sold.
- Collaborates with Asset Manager to determine appropriate action.
- Completes conversions of homes from personal to real property and obtains manufactured home titles. Completes the appropriate documents to convey ownership to the buyer once the property is sold.
- Reviews payment requests to ensure that the supplier is set up, payment is approved, and all requirements are met.
- Processes a large volume of payments in a timely manner and ensures that accurate detail is entered into the system.
- Monitors payments and sends the appropriate documentation to be imaged.
- Determines if a home is covered by an insurance policy, reviews documents and photos, collaborates with Asset Manager, and when necessary, files an insurance claim.
- Follows up on claims and if insurance proceeds are paid as a result of the claim, applies proceeds to the asset.
- Documents calls from customers, prospective buyers, contractors, closing companies, and others and either assists or routes them to the appropriate person to help with their request.
- Performs other job duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required. College degree preferred.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills along with solid computer skills, and the ability to cross train within the Remarketing Operations Department.
- Must have basic knowledge of the repossession process, 10 key skills or title experience is helpful.
- Efficient with Word, Excel, and Outlook programs.
- Must have a positive attitude, quality minded, work well in a team environment, and possess the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
- Must be able to process a large volume of work with high degree of accuracy, and ability to research and develop plans of action for any challenges that arise.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently with time constraints.
- Great attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Great problem-solving and decision-making skills with leadership background.
- Ability to work in a team environment and build strong relationships.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time.
- Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a telephone, calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
- 75% communication methods completed over the phone.
- Must be able to exchange accurate information at all times.
- Ability to identify and assess account status and determine appropriate process.
- Constantly works in an indoor temperature controlled, sealed window office environment.
