Neuronity is a Boston-based biotech startup company focusing on neurodegenerative diseases. Our primary indication is Parkinson’s disease. We are opening lab space in Athens, GA to coordinate with our scientific co-founder at the University of Georgia. We are hiring neuroscientists at various levels from graduates to senior post-doctoral fellows. Title and compensation will be commensurate with experience. The ideal candidate will be able to work both independently and collaboratively, follow best practices in collecting and analyzing data, and accommodate fast-phasing biotech environment.

Objectives
· Develop First-in-Class gene and cell therapy for Parkinson’s disease
· Generate meaningful preclinical assets to support the management team
· Coordinate ongoing collaborations with research labs in academic institutions
Responsibilities
· Maintain rodent colonies and organize in vivo experiments
· Assist and conduct in vivo procedures in timely manner with occasional weekend shifts
· Collect samples for PK, PD, and toxicology studies
· Perform routine laboratory procedures, including PCR genotyping, reagent preparation, and running biochemical assays
· Perform ex vivo experimental procedures, including RT-PCR, Western blot, and immunohistochemistry
· Follow safety and compliance guidelines
· Maintain equipment and inventory and ensure overall laboratory cleanliness
Required skills and qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree or above in life sciences with neuroscience focus
· At least one year of laboratory experience
· Animal handling experience in mice or rats
· Basic skills of handling general lab equipment and chemicals
· Basic knowledge in PK, PD, and toxicology
· Must be eligible to work in the United States
Preferred skills and qualifications
· Knowledge in neurodegenerative disease
· In vivo skills including IP, IV, and IT injections
· Hand-on skills of perfusion, CNS tissue dissection, cryosectioning, immunohistochemistry, and microscopy
· Experience in biochemical assays including PCR, Western blot, and ELISA
· In vitro assays like primary cell culture, cloning, and AAV production
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Internship
Pay: $35,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
