A Pearl Busser reports directly to the Assistant Food & Beverage Director and is responsible for fostering the Pearl culture within the Food & Beverage department for Pearl Hospitality. A Pearl Busser must ignite the human spirit by creating unrivaled hospitality experiences fueled by fun, enthusiasm and compassion that challenge each person to unlock their own potential.

The Pearl Busser is responsible for the successful serving of guest during a banquet or meal function as well as replenishing food service supplies and assisting wait staff and must ensure a positive guest experience. The Pearl Busser must focus on providing exceptional customer satisfaction by the successful operation of the restaurant. All hotel operations must be executed at the highest level of professionalism and courtesy. The Pearl Busser must ensure that our associates and our customers are treated with the utmost respect at all times since they are the key to our success.

• Set up service ware and glassware on tables
• Serve guests to ensure positive guest experience
• Serve food and/or beverage in order and to the expectation of supervisor for consistency
• Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items
• Ability to transport up to 30 lbs through a crowded space on a continuous basis
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Promptly remove dishes as guests complete each course and/or meal
• Removes full tubs from bus stations to dishwashing area
• Retrieves cleaned dishes, glassware and utensils from dish room and distributes to each station
• Maintains clean flooring in function area at end of shift
• Assists wait staff in replenishing beverages, bread, condiments and guest’s requests
• Keeps ice stations filled at all times
• Abide by all legal requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages
• Deliver the best product at the highest brand and procedural standards
• Manage guest relations in the most positive and effective manner
• Interact positively with customers and take action to resolve issues to maintain high guest satisfaction
• Maintain cleanliness of the food stations and restaurant area
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis
• Ensure approved uniforms are being worn at all times including nametag
• Treat guests, associates, vendors and co-workers with professionalism and respect at all times
• Perform other tasks that are deemed necessary to the success of Pearl, the hotel and the associates

Physical Requirements - (not limited to)

• Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, crawl, reach above and below shoulders, repetitive arm and wrist use, climb ladders and stairs, and walk on uneven surfaces.
• Must be able to operate motor vehicle or provide transportation to travel to various properties in city.
• Must be able to see and hear.
• Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to work around moderate noise level.
