Jameson Loves Danger is an independent pet supply store and grooming salon located in the Andersonville neighborhood of Chicago, IL. We are looking to hire a talented Retail Associate professional to join our team. Responsibilities for Retail Associate/ Keyholder

• provide a positive shopping experience for customers and their pets
• interact with the customer’s pets
• be aware of subtle customer cues and respond appropriately
• expand knowledge of products so that customer questions can be properly addressed
• assist in receiving and processing product shipments
• prepare and display new merchandise
• promote brand loyalty programs and other incentives
• maintain a standard of cleanliness in the store by following set guidelines
• work with a team to create and maintain a pleasant environment for shoppers and staff
• opening and closing the store on time based on set business hours

Qualifications for Retail Associate/ Keyholder

• excellent interpersonal skills, including having an approachable and friendly manner
• good time and task management skills, including prioritizing and changing tasks easily
• a flexible schedule and can work at least one weekend day every week
• attention to detail
• experience in retail
• comfortable receiving and checking in shipments
• experience using a POS system
• able to physically lift up to 40 pounds
• capacity to build customer relationships
• ability to follow direction or take initiative as the situation requires
• willingness to accept and apply constructive criticism
• comfortable with using a computer
• will need to pass a background check
• love for pets and animals a must
• analytical problem-solving skills a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.50 - $15.50 per hour

• Weekend availability
