When a guest first walks into our hotel and into their rooms - we want them to feel like they are home and in a clean environment. This is why we are looking for wonderful additions to our Exchange Hotel housekeeping team, who can help in making our customers feel welcome, safe, happy, and comfortable.
What you’ll do
- The position is responsible for cleaning guest rooms in accordance with company guidelines and procedures.
- Ensuring cleanliness standards for Hilton CleanStay and COVID-19 are met
- Thoroughly cleaning high-touchpoint items such as (remotes, light switches, in-room amenities, door handles, lamps, etc.)
- Stocking cleaning cart with appropriate supplies for shift and maintaining cart in a neat manner.
- Replace guest amenities and supplies in rooms
- Follows the regulations set forth by the material safety data sheets when using chemical products
- Change bed linens, make beds and fold sheets
- Remove trash, dirty linens and room service items
- Dust, polish and remove marks from walls and furnishings
- Vacuum carpets and floor care duties
- Thoroughly clean bathroom area by washing the shower/tub, sink, floor, toilet, etc
- Ensure guestroom setup complies with standards (ex. Towels and bathroom items placed correctly, remote is in the correct spot, etc.)
- Turn in all Lost & Found items while following proper procedures
- Move furniture as needed to complete all cleaning duties
- Greet guests in a friendly and warm manner and assist with fulfilling any guest requests
- Maintain discretion and security of guest items and information in room
- Complete assigned tasks within allotted time
- Willing to work in any housekeeping role (laundry, houseperson, etc.)
- Ensure areas are free of safety hazards and perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner
- Communicate with other departments as needed to ensure safety and maintenance of hotel and guest satisfaction
- Be a team player and encourage the teamwork attitude among staff
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Labor Requirements
- Standing, sitting, walking, squatting, cleaning, sweeping, mopping, reaching over head, pushing, pulling, etc.
- Must be able to physically lift, push or pull 20-50 lbs. consistently without assistance while adhering to safe lifting/push/pull standards
- Candidates must be able to tolerate cleaning and other chemicals daily.
- Also, the position may have exposure to allergens such as peanuts, chemicals etc.
- Wear all required PPE while cleaning guest-rooms and public areas throughout the hotel
- Follow all safety standards to include safe lifting/pushing/pulling, proper handling
- Disposing of items that appear to be contaminated (ex. Items that appear to have bodily fluids/stains/burns/chemicals/etc.)
Job qualifications
- Education: High-school (Preferred but not required)
- Experience: Previous housekeeping role (Preferred but not required)
- Licenses/Certifications: N/A

To keep our Room Attendants safe, we have a 100% UVGi protected property to ensure safe air flow and increased safety and cleanliness initiatives throughout the hotel. That includes plexiglass barriers, sanitizing stations and EPA approved cleaning product
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Sacramento, CA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Housekeeping: 2 years (Preferred)
- Janitorial: 2 years (Preferred)
- Hotel: 2 years (Preferred)
