Job description

Under direct supervision, operates basic saw types such as pop-up, miter, web saws to cut planks, timbers, or boards according to work orders.

• Reviews work order to determine cut(s) to be made.
• Adjusts saw for required cuts.
• Adjusts speed of saw and feed rolls.
• Stacks cut lumber after processing.
• Observes safety procedures at all times.

Opera tipos básicos de sierras como por ejemplo sierras desplegables, ingleteadoras, de red para cortar planchas, tablones o placas según las órdenes de trabajo. * Analizar la orden de trabajo para establecer qué cortes realizar. * Ajustar la sierra para los cortes requeridos. * Ajustar la velocidad de la sierra y los rodillos de alimentación. * Apilar la madera cortada después de procesarla. * Respetar los procedimientos de seguridad en todo momento.
Requirements: High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED). This is a entry level position where the incumbent will receive on-the-job training
o Work is performed primarily in an outdoor yard environment, subject to variations in temperature and weather, equipment noise and dust. o Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds frequently and on occasion up to 80 pounds. o May be required to perform specific tasks that involve climbing, lifting, pushing or kneeling.
