At Ascent Classical Academies, administrative and support staff seek to foster an environment conducive to the intellectual and moral betterment of students. Custodians are responsible for keeping education facilities, equipment, and furnishings clean and organized. Responsibilities include ensuring the common areas, offices, and classrooms are clean, and maintaining the cleaning equipment to ensure everything needed for cleaning the school is stocked and ready. Custodians report to the Dean of Operations.

Duties will include:

• Perform general, routine custodial duties, to include dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, and restocking paper and soap supplies.
• Perform routine maintenance to custodial equipment and supplies.
• Empty trash receptacles, dispose of trash into compactors and/or dumpsters, and bag trash for proper disposal.
• Unlock doors, ensuring doors are locked after cleaning areas.
• Report needs and concerns to appropriate staff, which may include submitting or recommending work orders and checking supply levels.
• Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Desired Start Date: Immediately

Compensation Range and Particulars: $17.00 to $19.00 per hour depending on experience.

Schedule: Part-Time 25 hours a week, with the potential of turning into a full-time position.

Classification: Non-Exempt Hourly

• Eligibility to work in the United States
• After offer is accepted, satisfactory background check as required by state law and Colorado Department of Education
