Senior Assistant Golf Professional:

Boca West Country Club is excited to share an exceptional career opportunity of a Senior Assistant Golf Professional. The energetic and self-motivated candidate will join the Professional Golf Staff and lead one the largest golf operations in the United States. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic PGA Professional who will develop the necessary skills to continue on a progressive career path and receive the support to fulfill their career aspirations. Emphasis will be placed on establishing and maintaining work life balance so that you can spend time with family and friends.

The Position: Senior Assistant Golf Professional

Reports To: Head Golf Professional

Boca West is looking for its next great golf ambassador, who is highly motivated, enthusiastic and consistently demonstrates a “Get it Done Attitude.” If you thrive in a fast paced environment, work well with others, and are committed to exceptional service, this is the “Fit” for you. From day one, you will contribute to an already high performing team. While managing the day to day golf operation areas of responsibility will include, but not limited to the following:

Ø The Golf Studio and the accurate sale and promotion of golf equipment. Emphasis will be placed on working with a team of Professionals, Club-Fitters, and Associates with the goal of reaching equipment sales of $1,000,000 annually. Focus will be placed on strategic planning, marketing, sales, club fitting, promotion, and inventory management as well as maintaining exceptional relations with all vendors. Along with building best in class Teaching and Club Fitting services, programs and concepts.

Ø Golf Registration and the accurate check-in of daily play. Emphasis will be placed on working with a team of Professionals, Associates, and our Golf Operation Administrator with the goal of maximizing tee sheet utilization.

Ø Mr. D’s Drive Suites and the promotion, creation, and design of a robust event schedule featuring our very own “Top Golf” / InRange golf experience. From casual gatherings to friendly competition among members, the 7 Drive Suite hitting bays feature a precision radar ball tracking and range gamification system from InRange.

Additional areas of importance to the operation and your role will focus on:

Ø Desire to play golf with the membership.

Ø Willingness to encourage, mentor, and train staff.

Ø Provide golf instruction, in a private and group setting. Emphasis will be placed on working with the Director of Instruction on assisting in the development of best in class programming and utilization of K-Motion, Blast Motion, BodiTrak, and Foresight GCQuad.

Ø Knowledgeable in tournament operations (Golf Genius Software). Emphasis will be placed on working with the Tournament Coordinator in the planning, running, and coordination of all golf tournaments.

Ø 6,500 members & 1,900 golf members

Ø Team of 65 employees, includes 30 H2B internationals

Ø 5,000 square foot golf shop

Ø $1.2 million annual merchandise sales

Ø $720,000 annual golf equipment sales

Ø 550 private golf carts / 250 leased Club Car golf carts

Education

Ø Bachelor’s degree or similar degree supplemented with extensive golf operation managerial experience is required.

Ø PGA Class “A”

Experience

Ø 3-5 years of golf operation experience at a private facility.
