Job description
The Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for positioning our agency to customers and clients to increase awareness of Adlucent’s services to drive leads and revenue. They will strategize and implement go-to-market efforts and general marketing initiatives including product and service launches, brand messaging, and asset promotion. They will understand our customers and the value of our offerings to create compelling positioning and messaging. They will manage the creative direction of our website including layout, graphics, and content. Additionally, they will measure and report on results across marketing channels and optimize our strategy and tactics accordingly.
The Senior Marketing Manager collaborates regularly within the marketing team as well as with our sales, strategy, product, and client services team. They will create marketing briefs and oversee supporting asset production including but not limited to messaging frameworks, positioning guidelines, design assets, email and site copy, and website changes. They will support marketing planning and creation of assets needed for channels including trade shows, advertising, PR, and sponsorships.
The Senior Marketing Manager will manage one team member to start, with the potential for additional as we grow. The success of this role is measured on influencing new business and upsell revenue, driving qualified leads, and building successful collaboration and alignment across stakeholders in various departments. This is a fully remote role. Domestic travel will be required 1-3 times per year.
The Role:
- Visualize and roll out marketing campaigns across channels and touchpoints with a focus on developing narratives and collateral that attract new business to Adlucent, support client retention, and influence our buyers’ journeys to ultimately drive qualified leads and revenue
- Lead go-to-market strategy as well as evergreen campaign planning and oversight. This includes working with Strategy, Product, and Client Services teams to create narratives for new product and solution launches and ensuring all associated marketing efforts are aligned and executed
- Lead creative direction and branding for Adlucent and our properties, including our website, and work with internal teams and vendors to execute projects
- Manage, write, and publish external-facing marketing materials, including case studies, award submissions, ad copy, website copy, and more
- Research and understand our target markets and create marketing messaging based on stakeholder’s motivators
- Collaborate with other marketing team members, sales, strategy, and other internal teams to ensure alignment to drive the success of marketing initiatives across all channels and touchpoints
- Proactively bring new, actionable marketing ideas to the team based on market research, competitive research, team feedback, and client feedback
- Manage at least one marketing team member
Requirements:
- At least 5 years experience in B2B marketing, including branding and go to market strategy
- At least 2 years people management experience
- Go-to-market experience, including planning and launching both brand and performance initiatives across owned, earned, and paid channels
- Experience writing and publishing marketing collateral including case studies, website content, advertising assets, and more
- Strong ability to visualize, write, and storytell effectively, adapting narratives based on target audiences
- Strong ability to understand multiple complex streams of information about our company, products, and services and translate them into clear, compelling messaging to the market
- Strong ability to work under ambiguity and self-start, with a desire to create new strategies and processes from scratch if needed
- Understanding of our target market: B2C & B2B retailers and lead-generation brands
- Understanding of the digital advertising and adtech landscape including paid search, paid social, display and video advertising, and more
- Experience influencing, prioritizing, and project managing across several teams and activities
- Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions
