SUMMARY

The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for the architecture, management, and support of the enterprise data infrastructure at the Gillette Stadium Campus in Foxborough, MA. The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for maintaining and improving our sites’ network configurations and infrastructure. The infrastructure currently supports all TKG companies located on the campus, including but not limited to TKG, NEP, KSE, IFP, KAGR and residential locations. This position will help support our voice and data facilities and services, LAN, WAN and Wi-Fi infrastructure.

The position requires expertise in network management and troubleshooting and requires experience in TCP/IP; HP, Extreme, and Cisco network systems, LAN networking technologies, including VLAN’s and network routing protocols.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate and support the IP Fabric for Media network architecture, leveraging Cisco's Data Center Network Manager (DCNM) for media fabric, Nexus and Catalyst switching infrastructure and standards such as SMPTE 2110 and Dante/AES67 audio networking.
• Work with Media Production and Broadcast departments to understand their requirements and provide network solutions that meet their needs.
• Architect, design, implement and support the campus data network infrastructure.
• Maintain, implement, and troubleshoot networks.
• Coordinate with service delivery managers for improvements to existing operations.
• Configure and operate Cisco Firewalls and Extreme and HP switches.
• Analyze day-to-day and event-based network statistics to proactively engage with service delivery managers to continuously enhance existing operations.
• Configure and maintain Cisco Firepower rule sets for security management.
• Design and assist in the Project Management and delivery of changes to our network and structured cabling equipment.
• Maintain architectural infrastructure as-builts as a component of the defined Project Management and Corporate Change Management Records Retention Process.
• Provide technical assistance with network, communication, and hardware implementations.
• Perform onsite visits to repair and/or troubleshoot issues.
• Determine physical installation needs and services required for most efficient business operations.
• Communicate with supervisors on project progress reporting and integration time frames.
• Provide project management expertise in the execution of initiatives and implementations.
• Manage external vendor service and implementation initiatives.
• Special projects and assignments as business dictates.
• Responsible for the creation, maintenance and control of all personally identifiable information or any other information protected by Confidentiality and Privacy Standards see Mass Regulations on Personal Identity Regulations and HIPAA.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology
• 5+ years of experience as a Network Engineer with Layer 3 protocols such as IP [v6], TCP, UDP, ARP, [HSRP / VRRP], SNMP, NAT.
• 5+ years of experience with Layer 3 Routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, ECMP, and VRFs.
• 5+ years of experience with stateful firewalls, non-statefull filtering and packet inspection.
• Familiar with broadcast operations and the current best practices of IP networking for the media and broadcasting industry along with media production workflows and broadcast technologies, including SMPTE 2110, and Dante/AES67 audio networking.
• Must have a good understanding of IP unicast and multicast routing and switching.
• Understanding of Quality of Service (QoS), Precision Time Protocol, Protocol Independent Multicast, Interior Gateway Protocol (IGP), Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP), Multicast Source Discovery Protocol (MSDP)
• Experience with Cisco's Data Center Network Manager (DCNM) for media fabric, Cisco Nexus, Catalyst switches, network monitoring and management tools, including Solarwinds Network Monitoring Software.
• Proficient in Extreme Networks, Cisco, and HP Network Device Management Systems.
• Familiarity with ITIL v3 standards, procedures, policies.
• Understanding of the OSI model.
