Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal/Sr Principal Program Planning and Scheduling IMP. This position will be located in Roy, Utah.
This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
What You’ll Get To Do:
Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:
Analyzing Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to make sure all program objectives are met.
Ensuring major project and program schedules and plans are horizontally and vertically integrated across company functional groups including finance, engineering, material, manufacturing, and quality.
Performing schedule risk assessments to identify program cost and scheduling risks.
Validating Schedule data.
Performing risk analysis.
Identifying and resolving critical path and network logic conflicts.
Utilizing Gantt, milestone charts, earned value management and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances to facilitate focus and intervention on critical areas.
Providing EVMS training activities for project personnel.
Conducting and supporting internal EVMS Surveillance Reviews to ensure compliance.
Mentoring program cost and schedule analysts on the proper implementation and use of Earned Value

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Job Qualifications:
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
This requisition may be filled at either a Principal level or level Sr. Principal level.
- Principal Program Planning Scheduling Analyst: 6 years of experience with bachelors; 4 years with Masters, 4 additional years of experience managing complex projects in lieu of degree
- Sr Principal Program Planning Scheduling Analyst: 10 years of experience with bachelors; 8 years with Masters, 4 additional years of experience managing complex projects in lieu of degree
- US Citizenship and ability to obtain a Special Access Program (SAP)
- Active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years.
- Experience performing schedule risk assessments to identify program cost and scheduling risks.
- Experience in training/mentoring activities for project management.
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVMS)
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
- Experience with Primavera P6.
- Experience with Loading and Analyzing Schedules.
- Experience with Schedule Risk Assessment (SRA).
- 4+ years of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience.
- Proficient in Deltek Cobra, Oracle Primavera, or Schedule Risk Assessment software tools.
- Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
- Aerospace/Defense Industry experience
