We are seeking to employ a Service Advisor at our Valley Chevrolet, located in Wellington, OH.

· The Service Advisor acts as the liaison between the customer and Valley Truck Centers technician when service is required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Listen to the customer description of the problems or service needed.

· Determine the type of service required and prepare a service order

· Obtain customer authorization and signatures for all repairs.

· Dispatch repair orders to technicians on your team.

· Prepare and present the customer with quotes for all repairs.

· Communicate with the customer and technician during repairs.

· Work with the technician to ensure the repair is completed.

· Prepare and invoice Repair Order (RO).

· Contact the customer for pick up or delivery.

· Ensure that secured payment is made prior to releasing serviced vehicles.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

· Required to perform work inside and outside, in all-weather situations, at the shop division location.

· Requires frequent sitting, standing, balancing, bending, or stooping for prolonged periods of time.

· Manual dexterity and lift up to 80 lbs.

· Normal range of hearing and vision.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

· High School diploma or equivalent.

· Valid driver's license with the ability to obtain a CDL within 90 days of employment.

· Good standing MVR.

· Previous experience as a service writer preferred but not necessary

· Experience diagnosing diesel trucks are a plus.

· Heavy and medium-duty truck industry experience is a plus.

· Excellent verbal and communication skills.

· Detail-oriented.

· Ability to successfully pass a background check, physical and drug screening.
