Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $70,000-$80,000 USD annually, depending on your experience and qualifications.
Shift:
  • Ability to work 12-hour swing shift that includes weekends
  • Swing shift: 6am to 6pm and 6pm to 6am on a 2-week rotation
  • Shift rotation allows you to work half the year and be home half the year!
Objectives of this role:
  • Promote a safe work environment to eliminate workforce incidents/injuries
  • Lead the shift/tour to achieve results – Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost
  • Coach, mentor and develop employees to meet established production levels
Responsibilities:
  • Daily contact and communication (verbal and written) with hourly employees, POD Leaders and Operations Manager.
  • Drive for results by developing a strong working relationship with the on shift crews through communication, coaching, trust and accountability.
  • Lead on-shift safety efforts and manage incident investigation process and follow-through.
  • Ensure compliance by employees with all safety and personnel policies.
  • Serves as incident command during emergency and disaster response.
  • Works closely with the shift maintenance personnel and crews to maximize equipment uptime and efficiency.
  • Maintain the highest quality product standards with a good understanding of the Proficy Interface (PI) system.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the labor agreement and the employee work rules to implement and support their policies and practices. Documents non-conformances and follow up with managers and take corrective action as necessary.
  • Develop and complete annual objectives in the primary areas of safety, people, cost, quality, and service. Provide a written monthly update on the status of these projects.
  • Problem solve, troubleshoot and resolve both equipment issues.
  • Investigate and determine root cause of production upsets using daily continuous improvement with POD team members.
  • Develop Standard Work Procedures and provide instruction
  • Assist with yield improvement efforts for the POD Team
  • Assist with XP trials within the POD Team
  • Audit and approve employees work time via Kronos timekeeping system.
  • Participate in workshops
  • Coordinate shift interactions with Team Leaders and Team Members to ensure standardized work audit of safety, TPM, quality, production control boards.
  • Handles personal issues on shift and resolves conflict
  • Drives and monitors team towards scorecard results
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Operations Management preferred but not required or equivalent work experience
  • 2-4 years of manufacturing experience and a basic knowledge of lean manufacturing methodology /initiatives with proven ability to lead teams
  • Highly self-motivated and process driven
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility to work all shifts
  • Continuous improvement leader who energizes and empowers others
  • Sense of urgency and ability to engage people in a positive manner to move outlined initiatives forward
  • Possess strong organizational skills and strong communication skills; both verbal and written
  • Work effectively in ambiguous situations while maintaining a positive attitude
  • The willingness to learn, strong initiative, ability to lead with minimal direction, good communication with all levels in the organization, maturity and skills to handle personnel issues effectively
  • People and interpersonal skills are a must. Must have respect for others, desire to learn, be flexible, and open minded

  • 1 location - Appleton, WI: Ability to commute or planning to relocate before starting work. Relocation program is available.
