Position Purpose
The Social Media Coordinator will be primarily responsible for the day-to-day content across the social media platforms for the USL’s professional pathway including USL Championship and USL League One. The Social Media Coordinator will play a vital role in the USL’s marketing and fan-engagement strategy. The ideal candidate must understand the culture of soccer and be well-versed in social media in that landscape.

Duties and Responsibilities
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

• Manage the USL Championship and USL League One’s day-to-day social content
• Owning the voice of the league across all social platforms
• Provide live game coverage on weeknights and weekends
• Engage and build relationships with fans, players, and teams on social
• Identify opportunities and trending topics where USL can join the social conversation
• Contribute content ideas towards all USL platforms and oversee the day-to-day of the content calendar for all properties
• Ideate, produce, and post content for the USL Championship and League One’s social platforms
• Engage and build relationships with fans, players, and teams on social media
• Order and track assets for digital marketing campaigns
• Experience with Facebook Business Manager, Tweetdeck, Later, etc.
• Collaborate with the other Social Media Coordinator and Manager of Social Media & Content on content opportunities
• Assist with other USL league properties as assigned
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of professional experience working on the front end of social media; experience creating/managing social media distribution networks
• Familiarity with social media management tools such as Tweetdeck, Facebook Business Manager, etc.
• Solid understanding of social media metrics and the ability to interpret data
• Proficient in graphic design software tools (e.g., Photoshop, Canva)
• Strong understanding of social media marketing
• Bilingual Spanish speaker preferred
• Strong knowledge and passion for soccer
• Ability to work under constant deadline pressure and manage multiple projects
• Flexible schedule and ability to work unconventional hours including weekend and game nights
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with team members, executives, member clubs, and external partners
• Ability to work independently in a multi-faceted, fast, fluid, and deadline-driven environment.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic a must
• Ability to work as business needs require, which may include long days, evenings, weekends, occasional holidays, and travel
• Must have U.S. work authorization
