Software Engineer

ZL Tech is seeking Back-End and Full Stack Software Engineers across multiple teams. In these roles you will utilize algorithms and data structures, and design patterns to build features within ZL Application Suite. You will work with our global teams to collaborate and build solutions to deliver product in high quality. On any given day you might be architecting new features, refactoring existing code to be more scalable, and seeing changes through to completion in a live environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop robust and scalable software
• Design and create services and system architecture for your projects
• Build reusable code and libraries to support the application and for future use
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders in understanding the requirements and use cases, and translating them into effective technical solutions

Requirements

Essential:

• 2-4+ years of hands-on engineering experience with complex enterprise software solutions.
• Experience with Relational & NoSQL databases
• Strong analytical problem solving and decision-making skills
• Experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting
• A BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent qualification in related engineering field.
• Experience with Azure (cloud) or AWS
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Understanding of code versioning tools, such as GIT
• Experience with open-source technologies such as Apache Kafka, Zookeeper

Nice to Have:

• Experience working with Large Scale Data Environment
• Experience with Lucene Search & Indexing and/or Elastic Search
• Experience building REST based API (Graph API preferred)
• Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes
