Sanborn Regional Middle School seeks a highly qualified and dynamic educator to join our Special Education team for the remainder of the 2022-2023 school year. This is a permanent position which will carry over to next school year. This individual should be willing to work closely with grade level teams as well as other professionals within the building to support learning for students with an educational disability. Instruct individuals and groups in subject area/assigned classroom.Provide specially designed instruction for eligible special education students.Plan curriculum and lessons.Evaluate and monitor student progress based on classroom performance, test scores, and observation of behavior.Support objectives and interventions of the educational program.Maintain a safe physical environment of the classroom.Maintain contact with parents of students and/or professionals concerning student progress.When appropriate, develop IEPs addressing specific academic, behavioral, and related service needs of studentsPrepare progress reports, educational records, classroom observation records, and other documentation as required.Function as an integral member of the IEP team, addressing needs of students.Sanborn Regional Middle School does an exemplary job in our work with Professional Learning Communities.
