Position Summary
Under indirect supervision of the Director of Human Resources, the Senior Human Resource Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with HR Director. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, advertising/hiring/employment processes and employment law compliance.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Primary responsibility and focus is on the development, review and implementation of employee services.
  • Assist in the development, review and implementation of CCC policies and employment laws.
  • Develop, implement and monitor an applicant tracking system.
  • Place job vacancy advertisements in local and national newspapers and at online websites.
  • Receive applications, resumes, and transcripts of potential CCC employees.
  • Collect and process forms required accompanying applications including, criminal history affidavit, voluntary information survey and required licensing and transcripts.
  • Responsible for maintaining applicant demographics by position as well as analyze and evaluate applicant data.
  • Process student employment applications, and assure compliance with applicable requirements.
  • Oversee office files, including electronic filing system, ensuring proper filing, confidentiality of information and systems, and efficient operations. Prepare and archive various records.
  • Conducts new employee orientation and staff in-service training programs.
  • Develop, distribute and maintain records of completion of all employee training.
  • Responsible for distributing, tracking, collecting, and maintaining staff and student employee appraisal forms in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for pay documents completion, accuracy, and processes (i.e. personnel action notices, employment letters, memos, contracts, etc.).
  • Provide employment verifications for financial institutions and prospective employers: ensure proper release of information forms have been submitted and approved.
  • Assist in the development and maintaining of employment handbooks.
  • Assist in preparing and returning various compensation and benefit survey forms.
  • Lead management response in sexual harassment, equal employment and any other HR related legal dispute.
  • Provide guidance and direction concerning personnel administration including but not limited to disciplinary actions.
  • Ensure telephone calls and in-person inquiries or requests are responded to in a timely manner.
  • Oversee, assign, and review job duties of student employees.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Requires frequent and continuous sitting/moving about, continuous use of fine motor skills, and pushing and pulling of up to 20 lbs.
SCHEDULE DETAILS:
Must be available to work 40 hrs. per week with normal work hours from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field and three years’ experience in Human Resources or the equivalent year for year combination of education and experience is preferred. Demonstrated understanding of data processing, information systems, and employment laws required. Ability to communicate in oral and written forms. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Proven ability in management skills in conflict resolution. Experience in Workday is preferred. Understand and proficient in CCC standard technology to continuously improve Human Resources.
