POSITION OPEN ANNOUNCEMENT
Student Services Secretary
General Description of Work Performed: The student services secretary maintains records for student services, inputs student data, generates reports, and is greatly involved in public relations with partner schools as well as MVCTC staff. This person will perform in such a manner to ensure the best education possible for the student.
Qualifications:
1. Any combination of education and experience equivalent to high school graduation and appropriate training in the operation of advanced data processing technology, plus two years of general clerical experience, one of which must have involved advanced data entry, file maintenance report generation, and information retrieval
2. Strong knowledge of office operating procedures
3. Advanced computer data entry and reporting skills using word processing, spreadsheets, and database such as Google Docs, Word, Excel, and Access
4. Knowledge of school information systems
5. Skill in the utilization of peripheral equipment
6. Ability to perform data entry and retrieval for prolonged periods
7. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
8. Ability to proofread and identify errors
9. Possess high integrity, confidentiality and organizational abilities
10. Demonstrate professionalism and contribute to a positive work environment
11. Must be able to cooperate and communicate with staff, administrators, and the public
Length of Contract: 260 days
Salary: $40,520 to $66,689
