Summary of Role:

The Sub-contractor Coordinator USCI (SCC) is responsible for managing the Mod/Veg Sub-contractors and to maintain operational goals/targets. The SCC oversees Sub-contractor quoting, scheduling and performance.

The SCC is responsible for maintaining the nation with qualified and prepared sub-contractors by assuring work is completed. Operational organization would constitute an established partnership and fluid communication between the Module & Vegetation Manager, Sub-contractors ,and customers to achieve portfolios operation goals.

The overall goal is to realistically utilize resources to coordinate a sound approach to maximize efficiencies, lower costs and meet LTSA obligations with trained professionals while performing timely and qualitative work. The SCC will be expected to request quotes from multiple Subs, cross reference costs and assign the best for the tasks at hand.

Balancing cost vs schedule needs to meet our obligations. The SCC shall be capable of accomplishing and understanding every task from a level 1 Residential technician through Level 3 C&I tech positions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage work order Queue’s for new work and create RFQ’s as needed, sending to all reginal sub-contractor for quoting.
  • Be able to provide all required information to have the quotes returned in the quickest time available.
  • Follow up relentlessly for outstanding RFQ’s and compare quotes to achieve the best value for the situation.
  • Ensure adequate JHA and work procedures are in place and followed by all sub-contractors. Identify and understand site owners and customer guild lines are adhered to. Mitigate safety concerns by preparedness and awareness. Identify safety re-training needs and Identify less safe contractors.
  • Maintain close communications with all departments and support staff. Proactively working towards solutions to meet our client’s needs.
  • Understand Field reports and assure all deliverables are available prior to send in for review to the MVM.
  • Identify deficient reports vs Sub-contractors to understand trends and suggest solutions.
  • Understand the progression of Module washing & Vegetation WO’s to promote their completion within NSPS standards and coordination with C&I operations to accommodate their needs.
  • Daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual feedback to the Module & Vegetation Manager, Planning & scheduling and Admin support teams.
  • The SCC shall assure all regional sub-contractors conform to company standards, professionalism, thoroughness, and safety. It is priority to repair relationships with and among regional/portfolios, customers and Contractors. Eliminating issues is last option, and it is priority option to communicate and establish expectations and maintain morale.
  • Provide quarterly/annually and constant reviews of regional sub-contractors to establish goals and awareness of needs for improvements or appreciation of high performance. Follow up with sub-contractors to assure the path forward is being adhered to and to minimize sub-contractors’ attrition while promoting efficiencies.
  • Provide support to the MVM in facility work order completion with competitive prices vs Schedule availability. Participate and support the onboarding team. Evaluate and forecast for future needs in collaboration with all departments.
  • Assure Sub-contractors, planning and scheduling, teams are provided and understand all site access requirements.
  • Identify safety re-training needs and promote safety first with all sub-contractors.
  • Assure all completed work has a Field report and an Invoice.
  • Evaluate deficiencies in work performance.
  • Assess sub-contractors’ safety history.
  • Validate scope of work completion.
  • Review of field reports require full understanding of the scope of work and the required deliverables.
  • Assure all completed work has a Field report and invoice before claiming completion and moving to invoicing.


Qualifications

  • Must understand how to review and pinpoint problems in Sub-contractor invoice statements.
  • Ability to suggest action items to address reactionary issues.
  • Knowledge of company financial goals to provide proactive actions to maintain the departments course.
  • Ensure adequate JHA and work procedures are in place and always adhered to.
  • Mitigate safety concerns by preparedness and awareness.
  • Must be certified and versed in the same trainings as the technicians.
  • Ability to work and conduct the same activities in the same fashion to instruct and demonstrate expectations.
  • Knowledge to assist with developing newly needed training requirements deemed appropriate.
  • Must be experienced to find inefficiencies in work performance and be able to relay improvement strategies.
  • Knowledge of field reporting app(s) and work order management systems is imperative.
  • Maintain close communications with all sub-contractors and support staff.
  • Be able to provide guidance and resolutions.
  • Be able to provide technical advice and direction.
  • Experience setting up sub-contractors for success.
  • Must be available to answer phone calls/texts/emails, from staff and sub-contractors as much as possible.
  • The ability to work well with staff and sub-contractors is essential.
  • Must understand how to track progression with Sub-contractors.
  • Ability to speak well and articulate complicated issues.
  • Be able to compose clear written messages to describe evaluations.
