Job description
Summary of Position: Perform a variety of tasks involved in the performance of medical imaging scans and procedures.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Greets patients, verifies patient procedure, obtains script; necessary paper work and notifies technologist responsible for exam.
- Assists the patient while getting on and off the exam table as needed.
- Ensures rooms are clean, in order, stocked with linens/supplies and monitors inventory. Communicates needs to the technologist.
- Maintains accurate patient log for permanent records and is responsible for promptly entering data into Medi-tech system upon exam completion.
- Transports patients within the hospital and to parking lot if needed. Explains and educates the patients and their family members regarding tests— exam procedures—etc.
- Prepares room for technologist prior to exams.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. BLS certification preferred.
