Position Purpose:

To prepare food for our guests that will meet or exceed their expectations.

Essential Functions:

· Prepare all cold appetizers, salads, platters, trays and salad dressings according to Hilton standards.

· Maintain the cold kitchen in a clean and sanitary condition, organize cooler space. Properly store and label all food products.

· Ensure all products and procedures follow health code regulations.

· Ensure all product is properly stored and labeled correctly.

· Ensure produce deliveries and storeroom requisitions are put away daily and rotated properly.

Supportive Functions:

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the hotel.

· Monitor daily inventory.

· Communicate with Chef on quality issues.

· Report any malfunctioning equipment.

Specific Job Knowledge, Skill and Ability:

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the hotel.

· Ability to operate kitchen and food service equipment.

· Ability to lift 50lbs.

· Ability to read B.E.O. sheet

· Ability to work in a quick and efficient manner.

Qualification Standards:

Education:

High school education or equivalent preferred.

Experience:

Prior cooking experience.

Grooming:

All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available).
