Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Lead and direct Product Test Engineers on critical test issues (i.e. poor test yields, engineering investigations and product throughput improvements).
• Identify technical solutions to address any reliability issues.
• Mentor PTE team to establish test/troubleshoot methods and analyze test data
• Determine if the issue is Test Equipment or Unit Under Test (UUT) related.
• Manage test equipment design upgrades as well as UUT producibility design/drawing changes required as a result of the trending data analysis.
• Resolve any engineering configuration / hardware support issues.
• Compile the failure trend data (the TE's disposition) and chair the weekly Tech Team meeting with the Integrated Product Team (IPT) which consists of; Engineering, Ops, QA, and Supply Chain.
• Review and disposition any failure data at the weekly Tech Team meetings.
• Ensure field investigation readiness & execution.
• Ensure readiness for new programs transitioning into Production / Aftermarket. (i.e. test methodology, test hardware, test personnel availability. etc)
• Serve as the liaison between the production and design engineering teams.
• Support failure analysis and product design changes.
• Estimate budget required and establish ROI of any upgrade/enhancement efforts.
• Execute upgrade plan within cost and schedule.
• Lead and drive activities to improve test yields & reduce cycle time.
• Review/approve new or changes to CMMs & SBs.
• Provide leadership for assigned hardware/systems to ensure goals of turn-time, cost, reliability and customer satisfaction are met.
• Support customer or agency audits as necessary.
• Provide data analysis by customer to support Maintenance-by-the-hour agreements, MTBR/MTBUR calculations, and problem identification.
• Comply with any and all audits as necessary.
• Proactively maintain a safe work environment.

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Bachelor's Degree and 6 years work experience, or equivalent experience.
• Must be able to obtain a secret DoD Security clearance to be considered.
• Advanced-level technical skills, knowledge of technical requirements and system flows skills that are relevant to the job or area of work.
• Formal qualification to be related to the field of work.
• Others as specified by BAE Systems Compensation organization.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Technical qualification is preferable and highly recommended.
• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing is essential.
• Prior experience with Oracle, Windchill, Data Analysis Software & MSOffice.
