Temporary Recovery Coach – Recovery Coach Program - $17.25 - $18.50/Hr
Closing Date: 05/15/2023
FT 40 Hr/wk Works collaboratively with Program Director to provide motivational engagement, inspirational support, and linkages to community-based recovery networks for individuals who experience challenges in their day-to-day life due to their relationship with drugs and/or alcohol. CPRS, RCP, or RSS certification preferred.
Worksite: Norwich
Hours: Mon - Fri, 1st Shift Flexible, Position is temporary through September 30, 2023
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides motivational engagement and inspirational support to persons in recovery
- Accompanies program participants to appointments and meetings as required to ensure seamless connection and to mitigate premature drop-out of program participation
- Engages with and supports participants as they enter and exit treatment to improve participant’s support network and connection with the recovery community
- Assists program participants in securing inpatient and/or outpatient treatment for substance use concerns, when necessary
- Provides outreach to assist community members struggling with substance use concerns
- Networks with other providers or people in recovery to enhance services available to program participants
- Provides working conditions that maximize safety for coworkers and program participants
- Engages in continuous concerted efforts to access, obtain, or respond to pertinent Agency information and communications and disseminates as appropriate
- Attends and participates in team conferences as required
- Other responsibilities of Reliance Health staff, such as participation in Agency events, adhering to Agency Policy Manuals, etc.
- Other job-related duties as assigned
- Performs duties while demonstrating Agency Core Competencies and Values
Education and Experience:
- Preference will be given to persons with lived experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current CPRS, RCP, or RSS certification preferred.
- Knowledge of recovery support programs/network
- Actively involved in community programs geared toward recovery
- Valid CT Driver’s License, vehicle registration and insurance
- Good driving record
