Tenure-track instructor/Faculty-Nurse EducationCorning Community College is accepting applications for ten (10) month full-time tenure-track positions in the AAS, Nursing degree program, housed in the new state-of-the-art Health Education Center on Denison Parkway in Corning, NY. We are seeking candidates with backgrounds in critical care/emergency, cardiac/neuro, psychiatric and pediatric nursing. Using a team teaching approach, Nurse Ed faculty have the flexibility to teach in both the classroom and /or clinical setting. Experience with online learning management platforms essential.Other job responsibilities include: course/curriculum development, course assessment, program review, and student advisement. For the academic year 2022-2023, incoming instructors begin at $47,013 and assistant professors begin at $51,366 for base (15 credit hours per semester).

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Utilize didactic and clinical time effectively with a variety of methodology and modes of delivery inclusive of online.Prepare and present a selected number of nursing lectures.Prepare and present assigned skills labs or an equivalent assignment.Prepare and present 1 selected clinical lab section.Participate in development, implementation and evaluation of a variety of assessment measures.Assist in the revision of course curriculum and syllabi as appropriate.Advise students inclusive of holding weekly office hours.Participate in the development and/or teaching of other courses as necessary and/or desired.Assist in obtaining information needed to complete Course Assessment and Program Review.Attend graduation and end-of-year functions such as Freshman Recognition and Sophomore Pinning.Adhere to the faculty responsibilities as delineated in the Collective Bargaining Agreement.Prepare for and participate in department, division and Faculty Assembly meetings.Serve on college committees as appointed, elected, and/or desired.Participate in ACEN Standards subcommittee meetings.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Stand and walk for periods of time to monitor student experience.Lift minimum of 30 lbs.See and hear in order to evaluate student performance.Interact effectively with students and the public on a daily basis.Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.Maintain confidentiality.Ability to work with colleagues, the public, as well as clinical agency staff.Ability to perform all clinical skills that the students are required to perform.Knowledgeable in basic computer systems such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.Perform other related duties, as assigned.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
