We are looking for a Tool Room Machinist to join our team. The position requires the candidate to operate machinery and a variety of hand tools along with utilizing precision measuring tools to create and maintain and repair tools, fixtures, and prototyping of production parts / tooling.

ESSENTIAL DUTES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:

• Using CNC and Manual machines to produce a finished product from a drawing.
• Able to set up and operate manual and CNC mills, lathes, surface grinder, wire EDM.
• Understanding of basic G Code programing and editing.
• Able to read and interpret drawings and designs that are provided.
• Accurately set up and machine critical features related to the part.
• Measure and check your own work to ensure the finished product will meet design tolerance using calipers micrometers and other precision measuring devices.
• Assemble finished parts to build Press dies for swaging, punching, forming, trimming.
• Work as a team and individually to accomplish your tasks.
• Other duties as assigned

COMPETENCIES:

· Technical aptitude

· Mathematical aptitude

· Ability to read drawings

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

· High School Diploma or GED

· 1-2 years Machining experience

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
