MACHINE TOOL DESIGN ENGINEER

JOB SUMMARY: Design tools, fixtures, and equipment to aid manufacturing.

Assist with maintenance and refurbish projects for Basler-built machines and

equipment.

Reports to: Supervisor of Machine Tool Design Engineering

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

*Design/release tooling & machines as requested.

*Maintain records of all tooling and fixtures.

*Prepare requisitions for purchased items used on machines & fixtures. nos.

*Select sources for new parts and equipment.

*Request quotes on tools and equipment.

*Assists in plant layout infrastructure (Air compressor systems & pipe layout, fume exhaust,

elec., bus)

*Work with outlying plants.

*Estimate tooling costs for preventive maintenance.

*Enter ECOs as required.

*Travel as required.

*Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

*BSME or BSMfgE/BSIE degree or equivalent, with two years machine and tool design experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

*Knowledge of tooling, machining, industrial automation, and fabrication process.

*Must be proficient in Auto Cad or a similar system.

*Familiar with Autodesk INVENTOR, or equivalent 3D modeling and sheet metal

design software.

*Robotics knowledge a plus.

*Ability to travel as necessary and have or acquire a passport.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
