Blue Chip Services, LLC is currently seeking a Traffic Control Foreman to join our team in Austin and Buda area. The Traffic Control Foreman will be responsible for leading a crew of traffic control technicians in the safe and efficient set up and take down of traffic control measures in accordance with applicable regulations and industry standards.s!

Job Responsibilities:

Complete assigned traffic control tasks which include but are not limited to driving a Truck Mounted Attenuator (TMA), cone truck, or other support vehicle to specified locations, assist in setting up/taking down lane closures on state highways or other roadways per TXDOT guidelines to provide protection from traffic. Safety and awareness are very important aspects of this position. By be asked to perform other work-related duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• have a MINIMUM of 6 months experience in driving a truck with mounted attenuator for setting lane closures
• Coordinate and lead a crew of traffic control technicians to ensure the safe and efficient set up and take down of traffic control measures.
• Review and interpret traffic control plans, permits, and other documents to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and industry standards.
• Direct the placement and positioning of cones, signs, barricades, and other traffic control devices to maintain a safe work zone for crews and motorists.
• Monitor work zones to ensure compliance with safety regulations and adjust traffic control measures as necessary.
• Perform daily safety checks on all equipment and vehicles to ensure they are in proper working condition.
• Train and mentor new traffic control technicians on proper procedures and techniques.
• Candidates must possess good knowledge of state and local roadways and have experience with operating large vehicles of varying sizes
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to pass a drug test and background check
• Flagger or TCT certification is a PLUS!

SCHEDULE:

• Workdays will vary between Monday - Friday
• Overnight shifts 7pm - 5am

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
