We are seeking a full-time Unit Clerk/ restorative CNA to support carrying out our mission to deliver quality care to our residents!

Description

The Unit clerk/ restorative CNA will assist the Nursing Department in their day-to-day processing of appointments, transportation to and from appointments, ordering of medical equipment, and assisting residents with restorative therapy 3 days a week.

Summary of essential job functions

  • Must be able to respond in a timely manner to requests/needs when identified through established communication methods and assist with required paperwork as directed by the supervisor.
  • Should have experience with medical terminology, excellent organizational and independent thinking skills, good people skills, able to multitask, computer skills, knowledge of Point Click Care, Microsoft word, Excel, and a strong desire to work for a mission-driven organization.
  • Chart any pertinent information on resident appointments, family contacts, outside visits, doctor’s visits, etc., in an informative and descriptive order.
  • Keep nursing service personnel informed of residents, appointments.
  • Complete necessary medical and administrative records upon the resident’s admission, transfer, and/or discharge.
  • Forward completed charts of admissions, discharges and other records to the Medical Records Department.
  • Deliver mail, flowers, etc., to residents as necessary.
  • Prepare residents charts for monthly physicians’ visits as necessary.
  • Complete Restorative programs 3 times a week and be a resource for CNA staff.

Requirements:
  • Must be certified as a CNA in the State of IL.
  • Restorative certification a plus
  • Previous experience in long-term care is a plus.
  • Must be available for both days and afternoons and will include some weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 50 pounds to a minimum height of 3 feet.
