Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and written. Ability to apply problem solving skills in all situations. Ability to cope with high stress levels when dealing with patients, families, physicians and other staff.
Applicant must be a high school graduate or equivalent preferred. Successful completion of unit coordinator or medical secretary course or must participate in specific on-the-job training. Clinical experience in an acute care nursing environment preferred. High level of interpersonal skills to ensure coordination of patient care.
