Position: Shipping Receiving Clerk

Location: Littleton MA, 1460

Duration: 3 months contract

Pay Rate: $20/hr.

Shifts: 8:30AM to 5:00pm

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments and preparing items for shipment by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards.

Responsibilities:

• Receive and acknowledge incoming goods; count all incoming units and match part number & quantity received against packing slip

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by putting merchandise away promptly, throwing away old boxes, and periodic cleaning of your work area

• Pull from stock and verify all parts for shipment against order

• Notify trucking companies and other alternative agents on all shipments exceeding UPS standards. Arrange special pick-up, prepare export papers when necessary

• Maintain adequate shipping supplies and materials

• Ship merchandize according to shipping instructions

• Receive and log all items for repair; call customer to obtain authorization to proceed with repair, approve charges, and issue P.O.

• Ensure all customer repairs are processed in a timely manner

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education – High School Diploma or equivalent required

Experience – A minimum of 3-6 months of distribution experience preferred

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Essential to the Position:

• Basic computer knowledge
• Warehouse experience preferred Physical/Environmental Demands:
• Standing, walking, and sitting for a majority of the time
• Kneeling, climbing, stooping, reaching, and grasping
• Use of hands and arms to touch, lift, reach, etc.
• Talking and hearing for a portion of the time
• Lifting and/or exerting up to 10 lbs. of weight/force constantly
• Lifting and/or exerting up to 20 lbs. of weight/force frequently
• Lifting and/or exerting up to 50 lbs. of weight/force occasionally

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

• Littleton, MA 01460: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
