We are mixing up something new in Lawrence, KS. This is an exciting time to join our team. Pretzels, Inc is hiring for the overnight forklift drivers. Previous experience required.

Work 2-2-3 schedule, every other weekend off. Overnight is 6pm-6am.
Pay starting at $20.00/hour with pay progressions to $21.00 after 6 months

Job Summary
Responsible for staging, loading, and unloading finished product and raw materials as well as, stocking and maintaining warehouse inventory

Duties and Responsibilities

• Safely operate all Material Handling Equipment and perform the necessary safety checks prior to operating
• Always maintain food safety awareness and immediately report any issues to management
• Receive material in from vendors, customers, or other warehouses accurately and promptly
• Verify the quantity, lot, and description of materials received by checking against the packing list and/or Bill of Lading (report/record any discrepancies)
• Perform all necessary inspections and verifications
• Correctly attach identifying tag or labels to materials as needed • Safely and accurately place materials on shelves, in racks, or other designated storage areas to maintain the identity of preserved food, FIFO picking philosophy, and orderliness
• Make all necessary transactions within EPICOR to ensure inventory accuracy and lot control is always maintained
• Comprehend data entry into EPICOR and databases
• Comprehend the reading of shipping & receiving documents, gauges, schedules, and dispatches
• Accurate and timely staging of finished goods and raw materials
• Accurate and timely loading of materials onto containers, trailers, vans, and/or cars • Move materials in and out of storage safely and without damage
• Generate all necessary shipping documents via EPICOR
• Check shipping documents for accuracy prior to making copies for the driver
• Clean and maintain work area per the daily checklist and master sanitation schedule (MSS). Update/initial checklist and schedule as completed
• Documentation must be legible and accurate
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees
• Create a positive work environment for co-workers and customers
• Other duties as assigned

Relationships/Contacts

• Communicate to customers, drivers, dispatchers, etc. via in-person, at window, or by phone in a positive tone
• Communicate with oncoming crew to ensure smooth transition

Qualifications

• Forklift certification, M.H.E. Certification.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required
• Previous forklift experience- Sit down
• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required
