Job Title: Warehouse Operations Manager

Location: This role will be based out of Ann Arbor, Michigan in a 16,000+ square foot fulfillment and distribution center.

Position Overview:

State and Liberty Clothing Company is seeking a Warehouse Operations Manager for our main warehouse (both distribution and fulfillment) in Ann Arbor, Michigan. This will include working directly with the General Manager of Warehouse Operations, Operations Team, Customer Experience Team, Human Resources, and our 20+ retail locations to ensure safety, efficiency, quality, productivity, continuous improvement, and the hiring and development of teams.

You will manage teams in the areas of Receiving, Quality Assurance, Reverse Logistics, Inventory Management, Picking, and Packing to ensure athletes get the dress clothes fit they deserve. This position will be fully accountable for warehouse operations, including personnel, quality standards, shipping and receiving, and will inherently support all functions of the company at large. Additionally, it will be your responsibility to ensure the training of managers, team leads, and associates to drive improvements and operational effectiveness.

The ideal candidate must be highly organized and able to juggle multiple tasks at once while working in a fast-paced environment. The candidate must be a resourceful, dynamic, hard-working person that is ready to have an immediate impact on supporting and growing the company. Education/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent additional experience
  • Proven ability to effectively motivate, develop, and manage 25+ employees
  • 1+ years experience in Operations, Warehousing, and/or Order Fulfillment
  • 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or LEAN experience
  • Experience with building or improving inventory management, order management, and warehouse management systems and processes
  • Strong project management and continuous improvement skills
  • Proven strong strategic thinker who can set goals and manage multiple, diverse tasks
  • Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
  • Stand/walk for up to 10 hours during shifts
  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including possible weekends, nights, and/or holidays with a 45-50 hour commitment per week (additional hours may be required during peak times)

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure “consumer-first” approach to all operational tasks
  • Responsible for daily operational functions in the main fulfillment and distribution center.
  • Focus on Everyday Product Quality (EPQ) standards, Create and maintain coworker quality awareness and behaviors to reduce damage and make “ Neat & Clean” a reality within the operation.
  • Responsible for overall warehouse goal setting, initiating local business plans, project implementation and commitment to achieve excellence within all operations.
  • Responsible for staff, shift and equipment planning based on volume forecast (MTP and STP) to secure operational business and activities to meet goods availability.
  • Monitor purchase orders from numerous suppliers, including updated and editing quantities and ETAs
  • Monitor e-commerce orders to ensure timely shipping and smooth operations through our omni-channel retail strategy
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean, organized and safe work environment
  • Ensures adherence of all safety requirements and proper training across their function.
  • Support and participate in recruitment, training, development and overall operational leadership.
  • Provide feedback, follow-up and continuous information about plans and results to maintain co-worker engagement.
