Wine Licensing Assistant
West Coast Wine Compliance, Hybrid, Yountville, CA

Job Description:
West Coast Wine Compliance is searching for a Wine Licensing Assistant who has some experience working in this area of the wine industry. This is a unique position, it is a gig job, part time and hybrid, which means work from home PLUS in-person when required by the company manager. So we are searching for someone who is local near Napa or the Bay Area. You will assist with preparing forms and applications for wine licensing, permits and registrations, ABC, TTB, CDTFA, out of state registrations, and additional wine admin tasks. At this time, the position is hybrid to start (remote and in-person) and may fully change to in-person at any time. Pay is based on experience. Each project is paid on a 1099 basis. The position is a GIG JOB, great opportunity as a "second job" or extra income job.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
You know how to use wine compliance software such as ShipCompliant. You are familiar working with TTB electronic permit filing systems, TTB certificate of label filing system, and can prepare and submit monthly, quarterly and annual sales tax reports, license renewals and registrations, 50 state wine reporting, can work with PDF forms, Excel sheets, and communicate regularly via email and telephone. You live within the San Francisco Bay Area. You are okay with working virtually and willing to meet with the company manager when needed.

EDUCATION:
College degree not required. A legal/paralegal background may be helpful.

SKILLS AND TASKS:
Wine licensing in multiple states, direct to consumer wine licensing, wholesale wine licensing, California wine permit process, out of state wine permit process, able to prepare documents for wine licensing registrations and renewals in most states, understands wine reporting, sales and excise tax reports, has good handwriting and attention to detail, experience using pdf/acrobat forms, good with electronic and/or paper filings, internet savvy, familiar with ABC, TTB, CDTFA, shared files, tracking information, able to communicate via email, phone or text messaging, has a genuine interest in wine business and compliance. Other compliance and admin tasks may be added as needed to complete projects.

TRAINING:
Depends on experience. There will be some training that will occur in-person at scheduled times.
