WordPress Senior Developer
Pay: Negotiable
Full Time, Location: Hybrid (2 days in the office if live locally), Orlando or Remote
For Remote- Applicant must live in the US and legally be eligible to work in the US.

We are looking to hire a skilled WordPress developer to maintain and develop functional code/websites for our ministries. You will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development with a focus on back-end, including the implementation and maintenance of WordPress themes and plugins as well as site integration and security updates.
To be a successful WordPress developer, you should have in-depth knowledge of WordPress, PHP and JavaScript with a focus on good programming practices and knowledge. Ultimately, a top-class WordPress developer who can create websites that perfectly meet the functionality specifications of the client.
The Kind of Work You’ll be Doing:
- Architecting and building the website back-end including database and server integration.
- Maintaining/Managing WordPress themes and plugins.
- Collaborating with project managers, DevOps engineers, and other developers.
- Discussing website requirements with ministry stakeholders.
- Conducting website performance tests.
- Troubleshooting and solving problems.
- Monitoring the performance of the live websites.
- Engineering the website front-end.
Education and/or Experience:
- BS in Computer Science and/or equivalent professional experience (4+ years).
- Experience with WordPress back-end development customization (i.e. plugins, cpts, themes).
- Knowledge of PHP.
- Knowledge of code versioning tools (preferably Git).
- Experience working with debugging tools like browser inspectors, lighthouse, etc.
- Ability to manage projects.
- Good communication skills.
Nice to Haves:
- Knowledge of front-end technologies including CSS, HTML, and JavaScript.
- Good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics.
- Leadership experience.
