Connections Personnel located in Scotch Plains has an ASAP need for an Accounts Payable Specialist. MUST HAVE HIGH VOLUME INVOICING!

Company located in Springfield is seeking a full cycle accounts payable clerk temp to hire. Will be dealing with 200-300 invoices weekly, matching invoices, batching, coding invoices, working on ERP. Very busy area, must be able to work independently and fast. Needs Excel and ERP. $24-$27/hr. Will work Monday thru Thursday 8am-5pm and Friday 8am-3pm.

Accounts Payable Clerk – fulfill all areas of Vendor information; invoices, purchase orders, receiver matching. Accurate computer entry along with taking discounts earned, maintaining all paperwork within the Vendor files. Various fill-in for Accounts Receivable and Data Entry as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and EXPECTATIONS

Vendor Invoice processing.

Correctly matching vendor invoice to open purchase order and receiver.

Run weekly check register; identify which extra payments should be made – cut payment checks.

Ability to make sure all sales tax items are correctly coded, copied & prepared for payment to the state.

Creating new Vendor information.

Credit Card bills payment and coding according to the general ledger.

Strong Interaction with Purchasing Department in regards to quantity and price discrepancies.

Process all Vendor debits and credits accurately.

Fill-in as needed – Accounts Receivable – daily deposits, accurately post payments to Customer accounts.

Customer Collections.

Process Customer Debits & Credits as necessary.

Fill in as needed – Data Entry - Invoicing, Packing Slips.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

5 years’ experience in general accounting.

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Excellent written and oral communication skills including an ability to communicate with all levels in the organization.

REQUISITE SKILLS REQUIRED

Computer knowledge in the areas of Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, ERP systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
