Position Overview

This job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities, or qualifications associated with the job. Supervisors may assign additional responsibilities and the responsibilities may change as the needs of the business change.

Responsibilities:

• Clean and restock restrooms, use only clean water in a mop bucket. Fill out the checklist every hour.
• When finished using the mop bucket empty the water and keep it clean.
• Prepare mop water, clean patio and sidewalks, parking space, back area and employee break area.
• Clean high chairs and wet floor signs.
• Clean all windows.
• Bus tables and reset properly throughout the shift.
• Ask Guests if they are waiting for anything else, if not, please pick up the number.
• Inform managers of any problems with outside drinks, food and smoking.
• Use bus tubs to clean tables and bring to the dish area. Always bring a clean tub only to the front.
• Clean table top using a different towel to clean chairs. Dry table with a dry towel, reset table.
• Exchange sugar caddies, salt and pepper shakers with pre-filled ones as needed.
• During the shift: Pick up trash and keep walkways clean, check and maintain trash cans.
• Cover dishwasher during their break.
• Put candles out on tables and lit them. Switch umbrellas and heaters.

General and Safety:

• Use safety belt and safety shoes at all times.
• Use hand truck to move or lift anything over 15 lbs.
• Must perform physical activities in a variety of environmental conditions that require moderate strength including climbing, lifting, balancing, walking and handling of materials. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• The position requires lifting of 25 lbs. anything over 25 lbs. assistance will be given to you.
• Watch for wet floors and spillage, put signs and dry immediately.
• Be aware of changing weather conditions to close umbrellas on windy days, floor mats in rainy days, etc.
• Make sure dogs are away from stairs or entrances.
• While carrying trays or bus tubs, be aware of employees and guests to prevent accidents.
• CLEAN AS YOU GO! Watch for food, debris and objects on the floor.
• The position requires the employee to be friendly and courteous.
• Our Guests always come first!

Physical Requirements:

• The ability to lift 25/pounds regularly & un-assisted
• The ability to respond quickly to sounds
• The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
• The ability to safely climb ladders
• The ability to work in cold temperatures
• The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day
• The ability to perform repetitive standing, walking, squatting, bending, kneeling, twisting, stooping, balancing, reaching, pushing

Closing PM:

• Put away patio tables and chairs.
• Wash and fill salt and pepper shakers, dispose of chipped and broken shakers.
• Clean table tents and signs, throw away candles and chipped or broken table tents.
• Take trash out to bins and wash them.
• Water all plants.
• Check with manager every day and throughout your shift for ANY additional duties needed for your shift. “These duties could change on any day”.

Pay Range: (Pay ranges applicable to CA locations only)

• Hourly
• $17.00 Minimum - $18.00 Maximum

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
