Darlington Assisted Living is a small privately owned Assisted Living facility. We are looking for a responsible and reliable chef to work weekdays 2-8pm

Will training accordingly

-Cleaning daily to DOH guidelines.

· Responsibilities included but not limited to:

· Plan and/or follow a weekly menu consisting of well-balanced nutritious meals that meet USDA requirements ensuring proper taste and temperature.

· Prepare and cook food items according to recipes, daily menus, and instructions.

· Prepare appetizing, healthy, well-balanced meals and snacks while ensuring all special dietary needs are met.

· Inspect all food for quality and quantity prior to serving.

· Serve the Residents in our community.

· Clean and inspect kitchen equipment, kitchen appliances, and work areas in order to ensure sanitation/cleanliness and functional operation.

· Keep accurate records, temperature logs, counter meeting, and signage.

· Receive, rotate and inventory products and regulatory compliance.

· Observe and give input on menus and spending in order to assist in better menu planning and food ordering.

· Prepare meals for special events and Holidays.

· Begin to consider the cultural diversity of menus, in accordance with the ethnic backgrounds of Residents.

Paid Time Off and Sick Time offered.

Qualifications:

- Active RI Food Safety Manager certification or safe serv certificate a must!

- Professional, friendly attitude.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
