Job description

Parkersburg Mancan is looking for a full time project manager. The perfect candidate will coordinate and supervise construction projects. A Project Manager works the majority of the time in the office, but makes frequent visits to jobsites to ensure that his construction projects are progressing well and meeting the expectations of the owner. A Project Manager must have excellent communication and customer service skills, proven leadership skills, the ability to delegate work, time management skills, the ability to estimate the work and the time needed for various construction tasks, good writing skills for proposals and reports, technical skills such as drafting and blueprint reading, and an understanding of construction means and methods.

A Project manager meets with owners to determine their building requirements; formulates scopes of work for projects; prepares preliminary drawings for presentation to the owner; prepares detailed cost estimates of potential construction projects; solicits material and subcontractor quotes to incorporate into his cost estimates; prepares and submits bids and proposals based upon his cost estimates; prepares construction contract documents; prepares and issues purchase orders and subcontracts to material suppliers and subcontractors; coordinates efforts across the entire project between the owner, architects, engineers, subcontractors and material suppliers; prepares construction schedules; ensures compliance with safety and building codes; obtains permits and licenses from appropriate authorities; determines needed resources (materials, manpower and equipment) to perform the project; makes frequent visits to the jobsite to evaluate progress and to coordinate efforts with the Phoenix Job Supervisor; prepares and submits progress billings to the owner in the prescribed formats; monitors and manages project costs.

Pay is based on experience and will range from $50,000-$75,000/yr.
