At TradeWinds, our Accounting professionals are tasked with serving 500+ Employee Partners, as well as a host of third party vendors.We are currently seeking aDirector of Accounting to provide high level support to our CFO and Accounting team. The incumbent will be charged with leadership and oversight of all finances and investments for our business, and supervise all expenditures to ensure that they are administered within the guidelines outlined in the annual business plan.

Job Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Organize and produce accurate and timely financial reporting, to include analysis of property financials, variance reports and projections to senior leadership, lenders and investors.
• Analyze operations, efficiency, profitability, cost and revenue trends.
• Assist operating staff in improving departmental margins.
• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget.
• Implement internal controls where necessary and investigate deviations in order to safeguard the assets of the Company.
• Utilize systems and controls to ensure the financial goals of the Company are met or exceeded.
• Train, coach, mentor and cross train Accounting department employee partners.
• Perform return on investment analysis for new business initiatives including expansion, infrastructure upgrades, build/no build decisions, etc.
• Asset performance statistical analysis and monitoring.
• Maintain CAPEX, fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
• Analysis of hotel market and trends to exploit opportunities for improvement and growth.
• Creation of financial projections, to include calculations, drafting and execution of capital call notices and distribution notices to investors and senior leadership.
• Creation and maintenance of renovation and construction loan draw reports, including the management of construction budgets.
• Providing any additional support to the CFO and Accounting team as business needs dictate, as well as any additional job assignments and/or special projects assigned by the CFO or Executive Committee.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guest service focus and a friendly, positive attitude are necessary.Each employee partner at TradeWinds is a Hospitality Professional, and the Accounting team is no exception.
• 5+ years relevant experience in hospitality or related industry.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, especially Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Ability to deliver detailed and timely analysis of areas of responsibility to senior management, ownership and investors.
• Impeccable integrity and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and anticipate the needs of others.
• Exceptional discretion and ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

Desired Requirements:

• Experience with ADP Workforce Now, InfoGenesis, ProfitSword, Agilysys, Visual One, and Adaco Software applications.
• We strongly prefer the incumbent has Accounting experience in a Resort/Hotel/Condo operation at the Corporate Controller and/or Property Controller level.
• Proficient with Uniform System of Accounts for Lodging Industry.
