SOL-MILLENNIUM Medical Group is an entrepreneurial global healthcare company dedicated to the research and development, manufacturing and distribution of high-quality medical devices that support best clinical practice while protecting healthcare workers and their patients from the risks associated with needlestick injury. Sol-Millennium sells a broad range of medical products such as needles, syringes and blood collection devices to hospitals, animal health groups, medical supply companies, government health departments and scientific research facilities in 40 countries around the world. At the outset of the Covid-19 coronavirus crisis, Sol-Millennium introduced a broad range of PPE and related products for use by hospital professionals, patients, first responders and other community organizations. Sol-Millennium has also proudly supplied over 2 billion syringes and needles for use in vaccination campaigns around the world.
Position Summary:
Sol-Millennium is seeking a Director of Marketing for the North America Region. This role will be responsible for developing a cohesive regional marketing strategy and communication plan in partnership with the Global Business Units, Global Marketing Communications, and Regional Commercial Leadership. As the Marketing Leader for the largest and fastest growing region, the Director will also provide perspective and influence over the development of global strategies and guidance.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate overall regional marketing strategy by localizing Global Business Unit & Corporate Marketing Communications guidance
- Provide local market perspective to Business Units and Marketing Communications to influence global strategies and guidance
- Partner with QARA and R&D to adapt and deploy Global Claims and Clinical Insights to maximize value and impact across the Region and/or local Countries
- Lead strategy development, planning, and execution of regional events, trade shows, etc.
- Lead development and execution of regional communication strategy, including digital
- Develop country specific strategies and marketing initiatives as needed
- Develop and execute local customer centricity initiatives
Required Qualification: (i.e. Education, industry experience, technical experience, etc.)
- 10+ years of experience in marketing, corporate communications and/or brand management in medical devices or other medical related field
- Deep knowledge of the US healthcare marketplace, including medical device and customer channels
- Bachelors Degree in business related field
- Expertise in partnering with internal stakeholders and external partners in delivering high quality communication strategies
- Demonstrated track record of translating high level strategies into effective execution across geographies, channels, and stakeholder groups
- Ability to operate efficiently in a matrixed environment, including building strong relationships with peers and influencing without authority
- Detailed understanding of the corporate communications landscape, including focus on digital communications trends and opportunities
- Willing and able to operate in hybrid working environment, including multiple days each week in the downtown Chicago headquarters
Preferred Qualification: (i.e. Education, industry experience, technical experience, etc.)
- MBA or other business related advanced degree
- Strong network of relationships and experience within US healthcare marketplace
- Prior experience with product management and/or channel management
