RiverStone Group, Inc. is a leading producer of construction aggregates in the Midwest. We are looking for the right individual to fill a full-time Fab Shop Utility position at our Fabrication Shop in Rock Island, IL. This position requires the ability to fabricate custom steel products from blueprint to finished product.

In the course of a project, you will be responsible for selecting the appropriate equipment, cutting sheet metal and angle iron, laying out all applicable components, and assembling from the ground up according to the blueprint. Boring, counter sinking, welding, machining, blueprint reading/comprehension and attention to detail will be vital skills to possess in this position.

Fabricator Candidate Requirements:

• Safety-Focused
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to perform rigorous physical activities in all weather conditions
• Self-motivated with a solid work ethic
• Minimum of 3 years welding experience

Our ideal candidate would possess two years of verifiable experience in blueprint reading, welding, cutting, fabrication and painting of structural steel. A good working knowledge of shears, punches & other metal forming equipment and plasma cutting tables is helpful, but we will train the right individual. Employees are expected to supply their own basic hand tools.

Major Fabricator Responsibilities Include:

• Following all safety and environmental rules, regulations and procedures as set forth by company policies and OSHA
• Operating and monitoring all equipment and production area safely and efficiently
• Fabricating steel from pieces using various cutting equipment and welding parts together per specifications
• Occasional media blasting and painting the fabricated steel pieces as needed
• Communicating with shop management and team on all safety, maintenance, and production needs
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor
